Terms of Service
Effective October 19, 2026
The short version. The Card Vault is a free game for fun. Cards, packs, slabs and Vault Coins are game items with no real-world value: they can't be bought, sold or cashed out. Play fair, don't use bots or extra accounts to farm, and be kind in chat. We can change, rebalance or shut down the game at any time.
1. About these terms
These terms apply to The Card Vault, a free fan-made trading card game run by the Twitch streamer QTB Vault ("we", "us"). That covers the website at qtb.cards, the chat game run by the TCG Vault Bot account (TCG_Vault_bot) and in twitch.tv/qtbvault chat, and the TCG Vault Bot extension on Twitch (together, "the game"). By playing, signing in, or adding the game to your channel, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the game.
2. Who can play
You must be allowed to use Twitch, which means you must be at least 13 and follow Twitch's Terms of Service and Community Guidelines. Those rules still apply everywhere the game runs.
3. Game items have no real-world value
- Cards, packs, sealed products, slabs, grades, Vault Coins, cosmetics and every other game item ("game items") exist only inside the game. They are not your property, and you get a personal, revocable permission to use them while playing.
- Game items have no cash value. They can't be bought with real money, sold, cashed out, or exchanged for anything outside the game.
- Do not trade, sell or buy game items or accounts for real money or anything of value outside the game, including on other websites. Trades between players are only allowed inside the game.
- Card "market prices" are simulated for fun. They are not real offers, appraisals or financial advice.
- "Vault Grading Co." is a made-up grading company. Its grades and slabs are game items, not real grading services.
4. Nothing random is ever sold
We never sell packs, coins, odds or any random reward. Twitch subscriptions can unlock cosmetic perks, such as binder themes, sleeves, slab colors and badges, which are not random. Bits and tips never unlock game items. Tips sent through PayPal are voluntary gifts to support the project. They don't buy anything in the game, and PayPal's own terms apply to them.
5. Play fair
You agree not to:
- use scripts, bots, macros or automated tools to play;
- use more than one account to get extra pulls, coins or trades;
- exploit bugs, glitches or loopholes instead of reporting them;
- interfere with the game, the website, its servers or other players' accounts;
- use the game to spam, harass, threaten or scam anyone; or
- pretend to be QTB Vault, the game's bot, a streamer or another player.
If we find cheating or abuse, we may remove game items earned that way, reset an account, or block someone from the game.
6. For streamers
- When you add the game to your channel, you allow the TCG_Vault_bot account to read your chat and post game messages there. You can remove it at any time.
- Your settings can make the game calmer, for example longer cooldowns, fewer announcements or pausing. They can't give anyone extra pulls, coins, better odds or other advantages.
- You are responsible for your own channel and community. We may remove the game from a channel that breaks these terms or Twitch's rules.
- Viewers keep their game items if a channel removes the game.
7. Creator gifts and events
QTB Vault may give out free packs, coins or other game items, and may run special events, in any channel where the game runs. These gifts are given at our choice, are free, and can't be requested or bought.
8. Changes to the game
The game is a work in progress. We may add, change, rebalance or remove features, cards, sets, odds, prices and game items, reset the game or parts of it, or shut it down, at any time and without owing anyone anything. The card set may change, for example to new original creatures.
9. Your content
Feedback and ideas you send us can be used to improve the game without any obligation to you. Your Twitch name, profile picture and game activity appear publicly in the game, as explained in our Privacy Policy.
10. Names, art and trademarks
The game is not affiliated with, endorsed or sponsored by Twitch, The Pokémon Company, Nintendo, Game Freak or Creatures. Pokémon and Pokémon card names and images are trademarks and © of their owners. Card images and prices come from third-party sources such as TCGdex. The Card Vault and QTB Vault names, logos, designs and site belong to QTB Vault.
11. No warranty
The game is provided free, "as is" and "as available". We don't promise that it will always work, be error-free, or keep your game items forever. Outages, bugs, data loss and resets can happen.
12. Limits on our liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential losses, or for any loss of game items or data, arising from your use of the game. Because the game is free, our total liability for any claim is limited to zero dollars, or the lowest amount the law allows. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not fully apply to you.
13. Ending your use
You can stop playing at any time and ask us to delete your data, as described in the Privacy Policy. We may suspend or end anyone's access to the game for breaking these terms.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We'll change the date at the top and post a note on qtb.cards for important changes. If you keep playing after a change, you accept the new terms.
